These classic loaded nachos are a fast, flavorful, and customizable dish perfect for sharing. Crisp tortilla chips are topped with seasoned beans, plenty of cheese, and fresh garnishes for a balanced mix of crunch, creaminess, and brightness. Ingredients
- 1 large bag tortilla chips
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1 small red onion, finely diced
- 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
- 1 avocado, diced
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix the black beans with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, and salt.
- Spread half of the tortilla chips across the baking sheet in an even layer.
- Sprinkle half of the cheese over the chips, then add half of the seasoned beans.
- Repeat with the remaining chips, cheese, and beans.
- Top with jalapeño slices if using and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the cheese is fully melted.
- Remove from the oven and immediately add tomato, red onion, avocado, and cilantro.
- Serve with sour cream, salsa, and lime wedges on the side.
