Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 cup ketchup for the glaze
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar for the glaze
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar for the glaze
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 F. Lightly grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Mix gently until just combined. Do not overwork the meat mixture, or the loaf may become dense.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan or on the baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, stir together the ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar for the glaze.
- Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160 F.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
