These homemade meatballs are tender, flavorful, and easy to prepare with simple pantry ingredients. They work beautifully as a main course, served with sauce and pasta, or as a filling for sandwiches and wraps.   1. In a large bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let stand for 2 minutes until moistened.
  2. Add the ground beef, ground pork, egg, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and oregano. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 16 even meatballs.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add the meatballs and brown them on all sides, about 6 to 8 minutes total.
  6. Pour in the marinara sauce, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
  7. Serve hot with pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread.
