Garlic Shrimp is a quick, aromatic main dish made with tender shrimp sautéed in butter, olive oil, garlic, lemon, and fresh herbs. It is simple enough for a weeknight meal yet elegant enough to serve for guests. Enjoy it with rice, pasta, crusty bread, or a fresh salad.

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the butter melts.
  3. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, if using, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
  5. Stir in the lemon juice and lemon zest, then toss to coat the shrimp evenly.
  6. Remove the pan from the heat and mix in the parsley and chives, if using.
  7. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
