The chicken is seasoned with aromatic herbs, garlic, and a touch of paprika, then seared until golden and juicy. Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and place them on a cutting board.
- In a small bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, oregano, thyme, and paprika.
- Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, then season both sides evenly with the spice mixture.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken breasts and sear for 5 to 6 minutes on the first side without moving them.
- Flip the chicken, reduce the heat to medium, and cook for another 5 to 6 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 74 C.
- Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet during the last 1 to 2 minutes of cooking and spoon the melted butter over the chicken.
- Stir in the lemon juice and cook for 30 seconds more.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet, rest for 5 minutes, then sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
