  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add the yogurt, warm milk, olive oil, and egg. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 8 to 10 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. If needed, add a little more flour, one tablespoon at a time.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan or shape it free-form on a baking tray.
  6. Cover and let it rise again for 25 to 30 minutes, until puffy.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375 F.
  8. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
  9. Brush the top with melted butter and let the bread cool on a rack before slicing.
