Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter, plus more for the pan
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 F and grease a standard loaf pan lightly with butter or oil.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just until no dry flour remains. Do not overmix.
